The second format is a Notarial Certificate of No Criminal Record Certificate, also known as 无犯罪记录证明公证. This format notarizes the no criminal record certificate itself, and the police clearance document is usually attached as part of the notarial booklet.
For this Poland case, the Notarial Certificate of No Criminal Record format was sufficient. The notarized document covered her stay in China and was prepared for use in Poland after Apostille.
Chinese-English Notarial Certificate
The notarial certificate was prepared in Chinese and English. For this case, a Polish translation was generally not needed, because the Chinese notarial certificate already included an English translation.
Although the destination country is Poland, the required translation language depends on the receiving authority’s instructions, and many overseas institutions can review a Chinese-English notarized document.
If a Polish authority specifically asks for a Polish translation, the applicant should follow that requirement. For this case, however, the Chinese-English notarial certificate was the suitable document format.
Remote Handling Without Mailing Originals
The client was overseas when the document was needed. The Beijing no criminal record document, notarization, and Apostille process could be arranged based on the required scanned materials, so she did not need to travel back to China.
Processing Time
For this case, the Beijing no criminal record document usually needed about 3 to 4 working days. After the document was issued, the no criminal record notarization took about 5 working days.
China Apostille generally took about another 5 working days. If the applicant has a fixed deadline, the timeline can sometimes be adjusted or expedited depending on the document stage and current processing schedule.
Courier time should be counted separately if the final document needs to be shipped overseas. Applicants should also allow extra time if the receiving authority has a strict submission deadline.
